WHAT WHAT...s on my mind.

This week was full of some good futbol. We witnessed the missed penalty by john terry that delivered man-u the CL title. I watched the game with trav and my 5th cousin vince at travis’s place. Man he has a nice tv. It was just awesome. From all the missed opportunities during the game to the pk’s, the game did not leave little to be desired.
And but a few hours earlier I had woken up at 7:30am to catch the first game the USA U-23’s faced against Turkey. I was hopeful to say the least. I did after all decide to wake up and watch it live even though I could have easily DVR’d it. The game got off to a good start and it was extremely obvious that Turkey was on some kind of sick level of form. They looked like they had been playing together every day for the past ten years. And the US…looked like they were a bunch of pretty good athletes thrown onto the pitch told to produce. They Capt. was feilhaber and I was looking forward to seeing him dominate the mid field.

I was saddened to see that he was almost completely neutralized until kamani hill came on in the second half. This is however not the fault of benny and the US poor performance might not even be the fault of the players. What could one really expect when facing a team made up of the heart and soul of Turkish future talent. These guys were just sick. It was incredible the show they put on. Hopefully tomorrow they can put on a better performance against the Ivory Coast. But seeing as how the US backline had much trouble against the long searching balls that Turkey played and the historic speed of the Ivorian national teams on every level, this game really will depend on the mids ability to maintain possession without the many giveaways they produced yesterday morning. But all in all I did like Ferrari and Ochoa upfront. They just had no service up front, not their fault.
But soon the 28th will be upon us and ill be watching the England US friendly in Wembly… I have high hopes…what can I say. I think the Americans can win.

They will have all been training together and looking to build some momentum after the victory in Warsaw. So watch it. It should be a good one. Even if the US goes down.
So Travis lent me his Xbox 360 and fifa 08

…it’s amazing. I want one and being very down at the moment…it would do me good. Even though it really wouldn’t.

-San an

I hate the spurs and at the moment I might despise all of San Antonio. I’m heading there tomorrow though, Friday, to visit Shlitterbahn and 6flags.

Should be fun. I’m just being a hater ok. My life right now is just in an odd place but every thing will work out. Should be loads of fun and I am really looking forward to getting out of town for a few days.
Hopefully ill hit up Chris Madrid’s. I really want to. And Moe is going too, naturally, and I love her. The last few months have been really great and shameless plug; I wouldn’t be who I am without her. Lover her. Well be ok I think, not matter what. Speaking of…I think I will stop by Chico’s for lunch today. I’m feeling pretty down and out and Chicos Tacos might help me look up. And my car is crappy I think. Chevy...should have known.

Speaking of lunch we went to pf changes two days in a row, once for dinner then the next day for lunch. It was because they service was so bad at diner that they hooked us up with free meal. Everything at pf changes has like the same taste. We ordered their flatbread quesadilla thing and it was super super good. Not really a fan of the chang’s. But lunch was a good experience there. The server was super awesome and it just felt good to be eating lunch there. I recommend the Dali Chicken. Its really good. For real, its one of the few things I like there besides crab wontons, the great wall of chocolate and those new quesadillas. And ..the west side needs more restaurants ad somewhere I can get a good torta. If you know of one Let me know cause. I just cant find one.

So I think it will be Lakers and Detroit.

And the search for the right law school for me continues. I have to e-mail a bunch and see if it’s too late for me to pay the seat deposit. Moe and me are looking at our options still. But. Its still super scary u know. But at least I have a college degree u know. And it’s really up to me if I decide to go straight to law school and finish in 3yrs or wait a year and reapply to possibly get into a better school or something, not sure. But please will me some good karma, I haven’t had any in a while now and me being so used to good karma things are all out of wack.

Comment if u like. Take care.

Futbol today

Ok. I feel like this should be explained…my futbol teams, and why I like em.

Ok. First and for most I congratulate Man U for a thumping of mostly everyone this season. Ronaldo is a freak and showed it this year. Sorry Kaka but you just haven’t dominated lately. Oh this reminds me of Messi or Barca in general…man how bad did they look towards the end of the season? Pretty bad. Good news for them is that most of the team will be sold away and perhaps a better TEAM will be put out on the pitch next season. Ok back to the Prem. Reading, Birmingham, and our favorite shit team, Derby go down.

I actually am a small fan of Feilhaber ever since his goal in the gold cup but for some reason, mainly I think his attitude, kept him from seeing any significant time on the field. Not only was he limited to the reserves in Derby he hasn’t been seeing time on the Nats either. Rumor was though at the Olympic quals he and Adu got into it and Benny attacked Adu because of some “im better than u complex”. And needles to say despite Adu not being the savior of US Futbol, which was unfair in the first place, Adu is class. Hes only 18, hes getting better and the mere training at Benfica has proved valuable. Just watch his set pieces and you will understand. So the coach chose adu over benny and named him Capt. NOW Benny has been named to the roster of the new U-23’s that’s going to be playing a tourney in Italy which can be seen on FSC.

Back to the point. I am a Fulham fan and proud to be one. Mainly my interest was founded in the deuce. Of course. Dempsey is just sick. So in the last couple of fixtures he hasn’t played SUPER well he still made the starting 11 and continues to perform for the Nats. I also like the fact he’s from Texas and seems like a bad ass.

Fulamerica as they are sometimes referred to also have Bocanerga who for whatever reason has fallen out of form for his club, Keller whom I originally thought was too old and bald to play….but a recent bout of fitness showed I was wrong. EJ…ok let’s get to this. I was originally excited to see the great letdown travel across the pond to see what real futbol is like. Naturally Ej had a hard time on the ball and against defenders. But. Its natural he did go from MlS to the EPL. BIG difference. If he learns to play with strength like another much younger than he—JOZY— then maybe that little addition of strength and his pace on the ball will keep him seeing minuets for the whites next season. And we will never forget the Bloody one and his super stupid long injury that had him back and ready at the end to fight relegation. Brian “Capt. America” Mc “FREAKIN” Bride. Ok that might have been excessive but he is a legend.

The rest of fulham is also great. Well maybe not great. But they survived. Most impart because of Bullard. Ever since his return to the Cottage the guy has been god send in set pieces. And thanks to his free kick Murphy connected with his cabesazo as I like to call it to capture maximum points last Sunday. And because of this effort I bought a Fulham 05-06 home kit. It was worth it. EBAY. So COME ON YOU WHITES!!FFC.

Separate from my joy of Fulhams recent fitness I was also excited by a story I read in the Liverpool news paper…cant remember the name. EVERTON with our favorite keeper in Timmy will be making a bid for whom I believe is the true next big talent for the US. Despite Altidore being a beast and Adu’s newfound form…Dempsey being a freestyle badass and all the others like Klejstan-he sick, Szetela, Edu, Orozco who is fucin cool, BRADLEY is sheer talent and grit.

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2008/01/29/everton-prepared-to-play-waiting-game-for-transfer-target-michael-bradley-64375-20407883/

At first I was doubtful too about the coaches son. But ive had the privilege of watching a few of his games online for heerenven and believe that if Everton land the young scoring pheonom from the erevidese or whatever they will have added a monster. He not only can drop 19 goals at 20, but he can defend the best of them as he has for the nat team, and more importantly he doesn’t give a shit who you are as evident in the hard tackles against Kaka, the Toothed on Ronaldihno when the Nats faced Brazil last year or whenever that was. I can’t wait to watch him next season if he makes it to Everton-my second team. That would be sweet.

MLS-dc united fan cause I love DC despite united sucking so far.
MEXICO- America cause of Uriel.
ITALY-none. Not a big fan of the series-a don’t like the style of play.

Ok other than that...my rant on futbol as I shall spell it, is over. Im hungry and going to go eat something. And remember, im person, you’re a person, that person over there is a person, and every person deserves to be treated like a person
